10 ml E-Liquids · the standard ready-to-vape format

10 ml e-liquids are the standard format on the French market. Compliant with the European TPD directive, they are sold ready to vape with their nicotine level already included (legal limit 20 mg/ml). This is the preferred format for pods, MTL kits and compact e-cigarettes, which favor a tight draw and precise nicotine hit.

A 10 ml bottle corresponds on average to 50 to 100 cigarettes depending on your device and pace, equivalent to 2.5 to 5 packs. For most smokers transitioning, expect about 1 bottle per day at the start.

Choosing your 10 ml e-liquid

Three criteria to adjust based on your profile:

  • Nicotine level · 0 mg for vapers without addiction, 3 mg light smokers, 6 mg occasional smokers, 12 to 16 mg regular smokers, 20 mg nicotine salts for heavy smokers or recent transition

Frequently Asked Questions - 10ml E-Liquids

6 QUESTIONS

/01 How many cigarettes does 10ml of e-liquid equal?

A 10ml bottle of e-liquid vaped with a standard MTL kit is equivalent on average to 50 to 100 cigarettes, or 2.5 to 5 packs. The estimate varies depending on your pace, nicotine strength, and equipment used. For a smoker of one pack per day, expect about one 10ml bottle per day when starting out.

/02 Why is the 10ml format limited to 20 mg/ml nicotine?

The 20 mg/ml cap is imposed by the European TPD (Tobacco Products Directive) of 2014, transposed into French law. This limit aims to prevent accidental overdosing in new users. For heavy smokers, 20 mg/ml nicotine salts offer faster absorption and compensate for this cap.

/03 What is the difference with a 50ml e-liquid?

The 10ml is ready to vape with its nicotine already inside (0 to 20 mg). The 50ml shortfill is sold without nicotine, to be completed with boosters. The 50ml is cheaper per milliliter but requires a preparation step (mixing + steeping).

/04 Which nicotine strength should I choose in 10ml?

As a guide: 0 mg for vapers without addiction, 3 mg for light smokers or final stage of quitting, 6 mg for occasional smokers (less than 10 cigarettes/day), 10 to 12 mg for regular smokers, 16 to 20 mg or nicotine salts for heavy smokers or very recent transition.

/05 How long does a 10ml bottle last?

For an average vaper, a 10ml bottle lasts 1 to 3 days with an MTL kit or pod. With a sub-ohm box that produces a lot of vapor, consumption can go up to one bottle per day or more, making 50ml and 100ml shortfill formats more economical for this type of equipment.

/06 Are all 10ml e-liquids 50/50 ratio?

Mostly yes, because 50/50 is the standard ratio for this format. Some brands offer 10ml in 60/40 or 70/30 for specific coils. If you use a pod or classic MTL kit, stick with 50/50 to avoid wicking issues.
