Melo 6 5ml Clearomizer - Eleaf

The Melo 6 is the sixth generation of Eleaf's best-selling clearomizer, and the first to feature top airflow. Air now enters through the top of the tank and travels down along the central chimney: e-liquid can no longer find a path to the air inlets, which fixes the historic flaw of the Melo line, namely leaking from the base when the clearomizer is left on its side.

Its 25 mm base remains discreet on most mods, while the domed pyrex glass brings the capacity up to 5 ml, enough to last the day without refilling. Refilling is done from the top: a push on the top cap slides it open, you fill through a 3.7 mm hole that fits all bottles, and you close it. Nothing to unscrew, nothing to lose.

In terms of performance, the Melo 6 works with the EC-A mesh coils and covers both direct lung and restricted direct lung vaping. The knurled airflow ring goes from a wide, airy draw to a noticeably tighter one, depending on the coil installed and the wattage chosen. Two coils and a spare pyrex glass are included, so you just need to screw the tank onto a mod and fill it up.

Which coil for the Melo 6?

• EC-A 0.15 ohm: use between 40 and 70 W, for the airiest draw and maximum vapor.

Does the Melo 6 leak?
This is exactly what the sixth generation fixes. Air enters through the top of the clearomizer and travels down the central chimney: there are no more air inlets at the bottom of the tank, so there is no possible path for e-liquid when the device is left on its side in a pocket or bag.

Which box mod should I choose for the Melo 6?
Any 510 box mod capable of reaching 50 or 70 W depending on the coil installed. A 25 mm base sits flush on most current chassis. For the EC-A 0.15 ohm coil, aim for a box mod of at least 70 W.

Can I use a Melo 4 or Melo 5 pyrex glass?
No. The Melo 6 tank is unique to itself, both in diameter and height. The tank comes with a spare straight pyrex glass in the box.

How long does an EC-A coil last?
Expect one to two weeks depending on the e-liquid and wattage. Very sweet e-liquids gunk up the cotton faster. Always let a new coil soak for five to ten minutes before your first puff, this is what determines its lifespan.
