MC4S 4-Slot USB-C Charger - XTAR

The XTAR MC4S lets you charge four batteries in a format that's still easy to carry. Its independent slots allow simultaneous charging of cells with different sizes or chemistries, without needing a bulky screen-equipped station.

With two cells, the current can reach 1 A per slot; with four batteries, it's distributed at 0.5 A. The charger accepts Li-ion batteries used in vaping as well as Ni-MH rechargeables, automatically adapting its operation.

Which batteries to use?

Check the size, voltage, and chemistry of each cell before placing it in the charger. Diameter compatibility doesn't always guarantee that protected batteries, which are longer, will fit into the slot. Never force a cell and always respect the polarity indicated on each slot.

For a dual-battery mod, keep a pair of the same brand, same capacity, and same number of cycles. Recharge both cells together and replace the entire pair if one shows abnormal wear.

Tips for safe charging

Inspect the battery's insulating wrap before each charge. Do not use a cell with torn wrapping, that is deformed, or that has been dropped. Place the charger on a stable, dry, and clear surface, away from heat sources. Use a cable and adapter that match the stated input, then remove the batteries when the cycle is complete.

A maximum current is only suitable if the battery and power source support it. A gentler charge may be better for smaller capacities. Don't leave a charge unattended for long periods and always transport batteries outside of devices in an insulated case.
