E-liquids 1 liter - the large DIY format for regular vapers and clubs

The 1 liter e-liquids are the most economical format on the vape market. Sold without nicotine (beyond the TPD limit for shortfills), they are primarily aimed at experienced DIY vapers, heavy sub-ohm users, and clubs and lounges who want to stock a large volume of a favorite flavor without making multiple purchases.

Our selection focuses on French brands specializing in large formats, with a particular focus on Mixup XXL, which offers over 80 flavors in 1L 0mg 50/50 base.

Why choose 1 liter?

  • The lowest price per milliliter on the market - up to 5 times cheaper than a 10ml ready-to-vape
  • Stock up on a favorite flavor for 4 to 6 months for a regular sub-ohm vaper
  • Ideal DIY base for creating your own blends with boosters and concentrated flavors
  • Professional use for lounges, clubs, or retail points that offer refills

How to customize a 1 liter?

You decide the final nicotine strength by adding 10 ml boosters at 20 mg/ml. Count approximately:

  • 2 boosters => approximately 0.4 mg/ml in 1020 ml of mixture (almost pure 0 mg vaping)
  • 5 boosters => approximately 0.95 mg/ml in 1050 ml
  • 10 boosters => approximately 1.8 mg/ml in 1100 ml
  • 15 boosters max => approximately 2.6 mg/ml in 1150 ml

The 1 liter is not suitable for high nicotine levels: to vape at 3 mg or more, stick with 50 ml shortfills or 10 ml ready-to-vape.

What PG/VG ratio in 1 liter?

The 1 liter e-liquids from Mixup XXL and most references distributed here are in 50/50 base, making them compatible with both pods and MTL coils as well as sub-ohm boxes and rebuildables. That's the advantage of the 50/50 base: it doesn't saturate the wick in MTL and still produces decent vapor in sub-ohm. For purely sub-ohm use with dense vapor, check out large format e-liquids in high VG (200 ml and 500 ml).

The savings on 1 liter

Per milliliter, a 1 liter + 5 boosters costs on average 0.08 to 0.12 EUR/ml, which is about 5 times cheaper than a 10 ml ready-to-vape. Over 6 months of intensive sub-ohm vaping (10 ml/day), the savings exceed 500 EUR.

Storage and steeping

An unopened 1 liter e-liquid can be stored for 2 years away from light and heat. Once nicotined with boosters, expect 6 to 12 months. Steeping is particularly beneficial for this format: 1 to 3 weeks of rest really reveal the aromatic potential after adding boosters, especially for classic tobacco and dessert flavors.

Frequently Asked Questions - 1 Litre E-Liquids

7 QUESTIONS

/01 Who exactly is the 1 litre for?

The 1 litre is primarily for experienced DIY vapers who want a large mixing base, heavy sub-ohm vapers who consume 8 to 10 ml per day, and professionals (lounges, clubs, retail outlets). For a beginner or standard MTL vaper, the 10 ml or 50 ml formats are more suitable.

/02 How many boosters can you add to a 1 litre?

The headspace in the bottle allows adding up to 15 boosters of 10 ml, to reach a maximum dosage of about 2.6 mg/ml in a final 1150 ml mix. For 3 or 6 mg/ml, the 1 litre is not the right format: stick with 50 ml or 10 ml.

/03 What is the real savings compared to 10 ml?

A 10 ml at 3 mg costs on average 5 to 6 euros, or 0.50 to 0.60 euros/ml. A 1 litre + boosters costs on average 100 to 130 euros for 1050 ml of mix at 0.95 mg, which is 0.10 to 0.13 euros/ml. The savings exceed 80% per millilitre. Over 6 months of heavy use, that's several hundred euros.

/04 Is the 1 litre compatible with a pod or MTL kit?

It depends on the PG/VG ratio of the bottle. 1 litre e-liquids in 50/50 base (like most of the Mixup XXL range) are perfectly compatible with pods and MTL coils above 1 ohm. For 1 litre in 30/70 or 20/80 high VG, stick with sub-ohm to avoid wick saturation. Always check the ratio on the bottle.

/05 How long does a 1 litre last?

For a heavy sub-ohm vaper (10 ml/day), a 1 litre lasts about 3 months. For a standard MTL vaper (3-5 ml/day), it's 6 to 10 months. The format is only worthwhile if you really enjoy the flavour over the long term.

/06 Do you need to steep a 1 litre after adding boosters?

Yes, and it's even more important than with smaller formats. Allow 1 to 3 weeks of steeping minimum after adding boosters, especially for classic tobacco, dessert, and multi-flavour blends. Store in a cool, dark place, shaking the bottle every 2 or 3 days. Fresh fruits can be vaped after 24 to 48 hours.

/07 How to store a 1 litre once opened and nicotined?

Keep the bottle tightly sealed, away from light and heat, ideally between 15 and 20°C. A nicotined 1 litre keeps for 6 to 12 months after adding boosters. The nicotine may darken over time (normal oxidation) without affecting the taste. Avoid repeated exposure to air when transferring to your daily use small bottles.
