Frequently Asked Questions - Concentrated Flavors
5 QUESTIONS
/01
What is a concentrated flavor?
A concentrated flavor is a flavor concentrate meant to be diluted in an e-liquid base to make your own DIY e-liquid. It should never be vaped pure: it is dosed at 5 to 20% depending on the desired profile.
/02
How to dose a concentrated flavor?
The dosage depends on the flavor and your taste, generally between 8 and 15% of the total volume. The manufacturer almost always indicates a recommended percentage on the product sheet. Start at the lowest dosage, then adjust.
/03
Do I need to let my mixture steep?
Yes for most flavors, especially desserts, custards, and tobaccos. Allow from a few days to several weeks of steeping for the flavors to develop. Fresh fruits often require less time.
/04
Can I vape a concentrated flavor pure?
No, never. A concentrated flavor is too strong and is not formulated to be vaped alone. It must be diluted in a base (PG/VG) before use.
/05
Concentrated flavor or ready-to-use e-liquid?
Concentrated flavor is used to make your own DIY e-liquid: more economical and customizable, but requires equipment and preparation. Ready-to-use e-liquid is immediate. To start with DIY, check out our DIY selection.
